Surgical Services

Kentucky River Medical Center offers general and specialized surgical procedures.

Many of these procedures are available on a same-day, outpatient basis. The surgical services department consists of four operating suites, one endoscopy room and one cystoscopy room and, we offer same-day surgery, post-anesthesia care and a central sterile supply. We also have a recovery room staffed by nurse specialists that are trained to assist patients until the effects of anesthesia subside. Surgical patients remain in the recovery room until they are ready to return to their room or be discharged home.
