Occupational Therapy: The therapists at Kentucky River Medical Center can help you regain the ability to perform daily tasks and improve quality of life following an illness or injury. We simulate work and home-living situations for activities such as bathing, grooming, meal planning and housekeeping. Along the way, your therapist will provide progress assessments and make any adjustments to maximize your success.
Some of the issues OT can address in Pediatrics include Sensory Processing/regulation, sensory modulation, behavioral regulation, fine and gross motor skills, social skills, self-help skills and play skills
Diagnosis seen may include Autism, ADHD, Sensory Processing D/O, Developmental delay, Developmental Coordination Disorder, and Cerebral Palsy.
Kristina Miller-Gibson, OTD, OTR/L is a National Board-Certified Doctor of Occupational Therapy, with 15 years of experience in both adults and children. Dr. Kristina Miller-Gibson, OTD, OTR/L is certified in Autism Specialist and Certified Sensory Integration Therapist.
